Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas carry Suns by Knicks

Eric Bledsoe scored 25 points and recorded 10 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season, to lead the Phoenix Suns to a victory over the New York Knicks, 99-90. Phoenix (14-14) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday.

Bledsoe shot 8-15 from the field (1-3 on 3-pointers) and 8-9 from the free throw line. Markieff Morris chipped in 19 points and five rebounds for Phoenix as well. Carmelo Anthony had another strong performance for New York in the loss, putting up 25 points on 9-19 shooting (1-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-6 from the free throw line.

The Knicks had an eFG% of just 43.8% coupled with a low FTA rate of 18.2. This season, they are 0-1 when they fall below 45% and 20.0 in those respective metrics. Conversely, the Suns are 1-0 when forcing their opponents below those thresholds.

New York (5-24) has now lost four straight contests.

Coming up, the Suns square off against the Washington Wizards, who are 19-6 on the season. The Knicks go up against the Toronto Raptors, currently sitting at 21-6 this year. The Knicks are 0-1 versus Toronto this season.
