The New England Revolution picked up its first ever win against the Philadelphia Union, winning 2-0 at Gillete Stadium. The goals double the Revs' total scoring haul for the season.
New England scored the first goal shortly after the hour mark. Lee Nguyen came through the middle and played the ball wide to Kelyn Rowe, who crossed. Diego Fagundez finished to give the Revs a 1-0 lead at home.
Nguyen grabbed one of his own in the 71st minute. His run fed Saer Sene, and he was in position to follow up and finish with ease after Zac MacMath saved the Frenchman's effort.
New England moves up to seventh in the East with the win, and now has a 2-3-2 record. Philadelphia is one spot above, at 3-3-2.
