The New England Revolution drew 1-1 with the Houston Dynamo at Gillette Stadum, a worrying result for the playoff-hungry side.
Saer Sene started the scoring in the 64th minute. Lee Nguyen, in the center of the penalty area, dished wide to the Frenchman, who curled in a shot from a difficult angle to give New England the lead.
The advantage didn't last long. Will Bruin collected a pass from Oscar Boniek Garcia and smashed it off the crossbar from 10 yards out to make it 1-1 in the 76th.
Failing to win spells trouble for New England. The Revs (11-11-8) fail to overtake Philadelphia with their game in hand, meaning they no longer have control of their playoff fate. Houston (12-10-8) remains in fourth place in the East.
