Tom Brady had a big day through the air, leading the way to a close victory for the Patriots against the Browns, 27-26, at home.
A terrific performance for Brady included 32 of 52 passing for 418 yards, two touchdowns, one pick and one fumble. Jason Campbell did his best to keep the Browns competitive, going 29 of 44 with 391 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Shane Vereen was a key factor for the Patriots, running all over the Browns for nine yards on three carries with a touchdown in addition to 12 receptions for 153 yards. Julian Edelman caught six balls for 64 yards with a touchdown.
The New England defense allowed 108 yards rushing and 391 passing. They brought down Campbell for one sack.
Browns tight end Jordan Cameron had a productive game with 121 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Josh Gordon had a good game as well with 151 receiving yards, 34 rushing and one touchdown.
Next week, the Patriots travel to Miami Gardens to face the Dolphins (6-6) while the Browns are at home against the Bears (6-6).
