Patriots Win in Shootout Over Steelers, 55-31

Tom Brady had a big day throwing the ball, paving the way to a lopsided victory for the Patriots over the hapless Steelers, 55-31, at home.

A superb performance for Brady was capped by four touchdowns on 23 of 33 passing for 432 yards and no interceptions. Ben Roethlisberger did his best to keep the Steelers competitive, going 28 of 48 with 400 yards passing, four touchdowns, two picks and one fumble.

Stevan Ridley was a key factor for the Patriots, running all over the Steelers for 115 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns with one fumble. Rob Gronkowski was a highlight, pulling in nine balls for 143 yards with a touchdown.

The New England defense was porous, allowing 400 yards passing and 108 rushing. They harassed Roethlisberger and the Steelers offensive line with an imposing five sacks.

Steelers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery had a big day with 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Running back Le'Veon Bell had a good game as well with 74 rushing yards and 65 receiving.

The Patriots head to Charlotte next week to face off with the Panthers (5-3) while the Steelers will play host to the Bills (3-6).
