The Patriots got by the Dolphins, 27-17, at home.
Tom Brady finished with 116 yards on 13 for 22 passing, one touchdown and one pick. Ryan Tannehill went 22 of 42 with 192 yards passing, two touchdowns, two picks and one fumble for the Dolphins.
Stevan Ridley ran for 79 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown. Aaron Dobson pulled in four passes for 60 yards with a touchdown.
The New England defensive unit led the way to a victory, giving up 145 yards passing and 156 rushing. They harassed Tannehill and the Dolphins offensive line with an imposing six sacks.
Dolphins running back Lamar Miller gave a standout effort with 89 yards rushing and 23 receiving. Running back Daniel Thomas also gave a strong effort with 47 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Patriots are at home against the Steelers (2-4) while the Dolphins play the Bengals (5-2), also at home.
