Update: Andrus will not be traded, Peter Gammons of MLB Network reports. GM Jon Daniels told Gammons, “We’re not breaking up our strengths, and one of our biggest strengths is the left side (referring to Andrus and Adrian Beltre).”
Recommendation: It was reported the Rangers would try to trade Andrus if they were unable to reach a long-term agreement with him. However, this no longer appears to be the case. Andrus is coming off a strong year, where he accumulated a .286 average, 20 steals, and 57 RBI.
