After the Memphis Grizzlies failed to extend a qualifying offer, forward Ed Davis has become an unrestricted free agent, league source told Yahoo Sports.

Once the Grizzlies reached a two-year extension with two-time All-Star forward Zach Randolph on Friday, Davis became expendable for the franchise's future.

Davis, 25, averaged 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15 minutes per game last season.

Davis was the 13th overall pick to Toronto in the 2010 NBA draft.
