RICHMOND, Ky. -- Mike Dinunno scored 25 points and Eastern Kentucky ran off the first 10 points of the game before coasting to a 68-44 victory over Norfolk State on Saturday night. The Colonels (5-0), who are opening the season with seven consecutive games at home, stretched their non-conference home-court winning streak to 13 games at McBrayer Arena. Eastern Kentucky is off to its best start since the 2004-05 season, when the Colonels also started 5-0 and wound up earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Eric Stutz added 18 points for Eastern Kentucky, Corey Walden had 14, Glenn Cosey scored 13 and Taris Johnson collected 12 points and eight rebounds. Malcolm Hawkins scored 13 points for Norfolk State (2-4), which pulled off a bigt upset in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last year by beating No. 2-seeded Missouri. Eastern Kentucky next plays host to Delaware Sate on Wednesday night, while Norfolk State, which has lost three consecutive games, plays at Morehead State on Monday night.
