Eagles hire Gamble as VP of player personnel

The Eagles announced Tuesday that they signed P Mat McBriar to a two-year contract and released second-year P Chas Henry.

McBriar spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Cowboys. Last season in 14 games he punted 58 times for a net average of 36.1 yards. The Cowboys released McBriar, who had offseason surgery to repair a nerve condition in his foot. McBriar signed with the Eagles in the summer, but lost the punting job to Henry.

In three games this season, Henry has punted 16 times with a net average of 38.0 yards.
