Eagles' Nelson Agholor cleared in sex assault investigation
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Nelson Agholor has been cleared and will not face sexual assault charges stemming from a June incident, the Philadelphia district attorney’s office announced Monday.

Philadelphia District Attorney R. Seth Williams released the following statement after thoroughly investigating an alleged sexual assault involving Nelson Agholor that took place at Cheerleader’s Gentlemen’s Club (2740 S. Front St.) on June 9, 2016:
The District Attorney’s Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit and detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit thoroughly investigated the allegations of sexual assault against Nelson Agholor. As a result of this joint investigation, our staff and the Police reached the conclusion that we lacked sufficient evidence to bring charges against Mr. Agholor, therefore no charges will be filed.
Agholor was at the club hours after the Eagles completed their final practice of the offseason; a 27-year-old dancer told police that she had been raped, Philadelphia Magazine reported at the time.
The Eagles’ first-round pick in 2015, Agholor played in 13 games (12 starts) as a rookie, with 23 catches for 283 yards and one touchdown.
On Friday, another case involving an NFL player was resolved when battery charges were dropped against Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta.
Skuta was arrested last month in Orlando after a woman alleged he pushed her in the face when she rejected his advances, causing her to hit her head on a glass window.
