Eagles ink Nolan Carroll

The Philadelphia Eagles signed cornerback Nolan Carroll, the organization announced on Thursday.

With the Miami Dolphins for the previous four seasons, Carroll recorded 26 starts and had 135 combined tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and five interceptions.

The Eagles are looking to improve a passing defense that ranked last in the NFL in 2013 at 289.8 yards per game.
