The Philadelphia Eagles
signed rookie running back Matthew Tucker
from their practice squad to replace running back Chris Polk
, who has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. Dallas with a shoulder injury.
Tucker has been on the practice squad all season after being with the team in training camp and preseason as an undrafted rookie from Texas Christian. He will likely get special teams assignments as well as the occasional carry as the No. 3 running back.
To make room on the 53-man roster, the Eagles released cornerback Jordan Poyer.
