Dylan Axelrod surrenders three home runs in loss Wednesday
Reds pitcher Dylan Axelrod took a loss Wednesday, allowing four earned runs on five hits in six innings while striking out four in his team's 6-0 defeat against the Orioles.
Axelrod (1-1) was done in by the long ball Wednesday, giving up a home run in the third and two more in the fourth to account for all his earned runs in the loss. He owns a 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB ratio in 17 innings, but he's also surrendered five home runs in his three starts. Axelrod is scheduled to face the Cardinals Monday.
