Dwight Howard expected to make Lakers' debut Sunday

Center Dwight Howard is expected to make his Los Angeles Lakers debut in Sunday night's exhibition game against the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center, ESPNLosAngeles reported.

Howard got through the Lakers' Sunday morning shootaround without any setbacks.

Officially, Howard's status is listed as a game-time decision, and Lakers coach Mike Brown said the final decision on whether Howard would play Sunday night would be made by head trainer Gary Vitti.

"It's a game-time decision, but he looked good today," Brown told ESPNLosAngeles.com after Sunday's shootaround. "I know he wants to (play) and they want him to play some games."

Howard had major back surgery to repair a herniated disk six months ago.

Howard participated fully in Saturday's extended practice and in Sunday's shootaround.
