Duncan day-to-day with knee, ankle injuries

Tim Duncan might not miss much time due to two injuries he sustained Saturday.

The San Antonio Spurs big man had an MRI on his left knee Sunday, and no structural damage was found. Duncan also sprained his right ankle in the second quarter Saturday during the Spurs' 96-86 home win over the Washington Wizards.

The team lists Duncan's status as day-to-day.

Duncan, 35, was hurt while defending a second-quarter shot from Washington's Martell Webster, who fell into the Spurs veteran. Duncan was helped to the locker room, but he was able to walk some of the way on his own.

Duncan, averaging 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds, had recently been selected by the coaches to participate in his 14th NBA All-Star Game this month.
