NEWRY, Maine (AP) -- Freestyle skier Simon Dumont has assembled quite a field for his end-of-the-year slopestyle contest, bringing in all three Olympic medalists.
Joss Christensen, Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper, who swept the podium at the Sochi Games, will be on hand for the Dumont Cup, a two-day event that starts Friday at Sunday River.
Dumont will call the action this year rather than compete since he's about eight weeks removed from surgery to fix a torn ligament in his left knee, an injury that ended his quest to make the U.S. Olympic team.
The 10-time X Games medalist helped design the layout of the course at Sunday River and promises it will be ''one of the sickest they're gonna see.''
