The Calgary Flames traded forward Tim Jackman to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday for a sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Entry Draft.

To fill Jackman's roster spot, the Flames recalled Blair Jones from Abbotsford of the American Hockey league. Jones ranks sixth in the AHL in scoring with 20 points in 16 games.

Jackman, 32, is a 10-year NHL veteran who played the last four seasons in Calgary.

In 10 games this season, Jackman had one goal and 41 penalty minutes. He was a healthy scratch on Wednesday night for a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Jackman's best season came with the Flames in 2010-11 when he had 10 goals and 23 points in 82 games. For his career, he has 24 goals, 64 points and 654 penalty minutes in 400 games.

His other career stops include the Blue Jackets, Phoenix Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings and New York Islanders.

The Ducks are short-handed up front with Saku Koivu and Jakob Silfverberg on injured reserve. Ryan Getzlaf, Dustin Penner and Mathieu Perreault also have missed time with injuries.
