DT Bannan signs with Broncos

Defensive tackle Justin Bannan re-signed with the Broncos after spending the 2011 season with St. Louis.

The Rams released the 11th-year veteran last month, saving $2.75 million against their salary cap.

Bannan started 14 of the 15 games he appeared in last season, after starting all 16 games for the Broncos in 2010. In 144 career regular-season games, Bannan has spent time with the Bills, Ravens, Broncos and Rams, and has 303 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
