In their quest to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals, both the U.S. men's and women's national basketball teams are set to face some of the toughest competition yet on the international level.

With the draw of the Olympic basketball tournaments complete, Team USA looks to be in a favorable position heading into London.

Here are the results:

Men's Tournament:

Group A: Argentina, France, Tunisia, USA, Two remaining FIBA qualifiers

Group B: Australia, Brazil, China, Great Britain, Spain, One remaining FIBA qualifier

Women's Tournament:

Group A: Angola, China, USA, Three remaining FIBA qualifiers

Group B: Australia, Brazil, Great Britain, Russia, Two remaining FIBA qualifiers

The remaining three qualifiers for the men's tournament, and the remaining five qualifiers in the women's tournament will be determined at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, in the weeks leading up to the start of the Games.

How the tournament works:

In the preliminary round, each team will play the five other teams in their respective groups. The top four teams from each group will then move onto the quarter-finals round. From that moment on, the tournament will follow a knock-out format, until the winner is determined in the gold medal game.

"'The Olympic Basketball tournaments will see some of the biggest basketball stars in the world come to London to compete for gold. Today's draw gives us a glimpse of some of the exciting encounters, world-class players and top teams we'll see in action this summer," said Debbie Jevans, the London 2012 Organizing Committee Director of Sport.

The Olympic Basketball Tournaments will take place from July 28 through August 12.
