The Dolphins re-signed RB Steve Slaton to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.
Slaton signed with the team last year after beginning the season with the Texans, who drafted him in 2008. Slaton was the Dolphins' No. 3 back last season and carried the ball 17 times for 64 yards and one touchdown.
Injuries have plagued Slaton since an outstanding rookie year, when he had 1,282 rushing yards and 377 receiving yards, in addition to nine rushing touchdowns. Slaton, a fourth-year player, joins Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush in Miami's backfield.
