Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush may be back this week after an MRI taken Monday showed that his injured left knee sustained no structural damage, according to ESPN.
Bush's injury occurred with 23 seconds left in the second quarter of the Dolphins' 23-20 overtime loss to the New York Jets on Sunday when his knee made contact with a helmet. He tested out the knee at halftime but the team's medical staff ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.
Bush wrote on Twitter on Monday: "Received some great news today! Praise the Lord!"
A report earlier in the day suggested that Bush would possibly miss a few games. He also had left knee injuries in 2007 and '08.
Bush, the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after the Dolphins' 35-13 win over Oakland in Week 2, is fourth in the NFL with 302 rushing yards. He had 61 yards on 10 carries Sunday.
