Dolphins claim WR Binns, release CB Coe

Wide receiver Armon Binns was awarded off waivers to the Miami Dolphins, who waived cornerback Michael Coe.

Binns was waived by Cincinnati before Saturday as the Bengals were forced to carry two kickers, and they were believed to be interested in re-signing him should he clear waivers. That didn't happen, and the 6-3, 209-pound second-year player is now a Dolphin.

Binns has 18 catches for 210 yards and one touchdown in eight games this season. However, he had slipped from a starter to fifth on the depth chart through the course of the season.

Binns signed with the Bengals' practice squad on Sept. 20, 2011 and was elevated to the active roster for the season finale.

He entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie out of UConn with the Jacksonville Jaguars following the 2011 NFL Draft.
