The Miami Dolphins have ended the suspense over their starting quarterback, with Coach Joe Philbin naming rookie Ryan Tannehill the starter following Monday's practice.
"This is the best decision we can make at this given time," Philbin said, in choosing the rookie over last year's starter Matt Moore.
David Garrard, who had been getting the first-team reps early in camp, essentially was taken out of the running for the starting job because of a knee scope that puts him in question for the start of the regular season.
