The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated right-handed pitcher Rubby De La Rosa, who has not played in a major-league game since having Tommy John surgery last August.

The Dodgers also sent the team's former closer, Javy Guerra, to Triple-A Albuquerque.

De La Rosa has been impressive in his minor-league rehab appearances. In 12 innings, he had yet to allow a run.

"I can't believe I'm here," De La Rosa said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Last season, De La Rosa went 4-5 with a 3.71 ERA. He was able to reach 100 mph on the speed gun before injuring his elbow. He has been throwing in the mid-90s during his minor-league rehab.

Guerra was 2-3 with a 2.66 ERA and eight saves for the Dodgers this season and has pitched well lately.
