The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cliff Lee on waivers, according to CBS Sports. The teams have 72 hours to work out a trade. Otherwise, the Phillies can pull Lee back. Sources told CBS Sports that a trade is unlikely, however, because of the Phillies' high asking price. Plus, Lee has $95 million left on his contract that runs through 2015. Before the non-waiver trade deadline, the Phillies reportedly wanted a top prospect in return for Lee and for the other team to fully absorb his contract. Lee also has a no-trade clause and lists 21 teams that he would not approve in a deal. The Texas Rangers are the only team known to be approved by Lee. The 33-year-old is 2-6 with a 3.73 ERA in 18 starts this season. If a player is put on waivers a second time, he cannot be pulled back. Earlier Friday, the Dodgers claimed Phillies right-hander Joe Blanton on waivers and the teams agreed on a trade with Blanton going to Los Angeles for a player to be named later or cash.
