Breaking news:

Dodgers activate reliever Wilson

The SportsXchange

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated reliever Brian Wilson for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins, the team announced.

Wilson, 31, signed a one-year contract with the Dodgers in July. He has been out the past two seasons while recovering from a second Tommy John surgery. He was the San Francisco Giants closer before he was injured.

Wilson has appeared in four minor league games since signing with the Dodgers. He has allowed one baserunner and struck out three in 4 1/3 innings.

The Dodgers bullpen is already stacked, including two other former closers setting up Kenley Jansen, with Carlos Marmol and Brandon League. Wilson has been throwing in the low-90s, according to reports.
