Nowitzki shot 10-21, including 2-6 from three-point range. Dallas also got solid performances from Monta Ellis with 22 points and 5 rebounds, and Vince Carter with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Despite the loss, Al Jefferson put up 19 points for Charlotte on 6-10 shooting from the field and 7-10 from the free throw line. He also registered 12 rebounds. Kemba Walker chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds and Josh McRoberts finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds.
The Bobcats posted an eFG% of just 40.4%, including 17.6% from 3-point range. This year, they are 1-5 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Mavericks are 3-1 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Charlotte (8-11) has now dropped consecutive games after losing to Miami on Sunday.
