Didi Gregorius: Traded to the Diamondbacks

Rotowire.com
Update: Gregorius was sent to the Diamondbacks via the Indians on Tuesday in a three-way trade with the Reds. The Reds got Shin-Soo Choo and Jason Donald, the Diamondbacks got Gregorius, Tony Sipp and Lars Anderson, and the Indians got Trevor Bauer, Drew Stubbs, Bryan Shaw and Matt Albers.

Recommendation: So this is the shortstop that the Diamondbacks coveted after all. In one way, they didn't have to trade Justin Upton, but on the other hand, they spent a lot in Bauer to get Gregorius. Gregorius is a great defender who saw his stock rise considerably in the Arizona Fall League, but his bat is still a pretty big question mark. At least he bumped up his walk rate this year a little bit, but he doesn't run much and he doesn't hit for power.
