The Arizona Diamondbacks placed pitcher Trevor Cahill on the disabled list on Monday because of a hip contusion that he originally suffered two weeks ago.
Cahill was injured when he was hit by a line drive in a start against the Miami Marlins on June 19.
He left that game after one inning, but made his next two scheduled starts, losing both.
He failed to make it out of the fifth inning on Sunday.
Cahill is 3-10 with a 4.66 ERA in 17 starts this season.
