Diamondbacks, Parra agree to contract

The Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to a one-year, $2.35-million contract with outfielder Gerardo Parra Tuesday, avoiding arbitration.

Parra, 25, was arbitration eligible for the first time this offseason. The lefty batted .273 with seven homers and 15 steals in 430 plate appearances.
