SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Eric Hinske was hoping to convince the umpiring crew he was fast enough to reach third on a ball he hit that was interfered with by a Giants reliever. When umpire Doug Eddings laughed, he knew the discussion was over.
The Arizona Diamondbacks managed to have a little fun in during another extra-inning victory.
Pinch hitter Will Nieves delivered a sacrifice fly in the 10th to lift Arizona to a 3-2 victory over San Francisco on Wednesday.
Gerardo Parra and A.J. Pollock also drove in a run as the Diamondbacks improved to 5-0 in extra-inning games this season. They beat the Giants in 11 innings on Tuesday night.
Hinske also contributed an unusual pinch-hit double that led to a run in the eighth. He was awarded second when Santiago Casilla, warming up in the bullpen, gloved his sharp liner down the third-base line. Parra then ran for Hinske and scored on Pollock's single to center.
''It was pretty funny actually,'' Hinske said. ''I didn't know it happened right away. I knew it was fair and I had my head down running. When I stopped at second I saw the umpires getting together before I knew what happened. I tried telling them I was fast but they made the right call.''
Arizona led 2-1 before Brandon Crawford hit a tying homer off David Hernandez (1-0) with one out in the ninth. Crawford also doubled home a run in the seventh and finished with three hits.
Matt Reynolds got three outs for his second save in as many days. Reynolds has yet to allow a run in 11 1-3 innings.
''He's been throwing the ball pretty good,'' Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said. ''His off-speed stuff is ridiculous.''
It also was the second career save for Reynolds, who has converted half of his four chances in 175 games.
''It's fun, the adrenaline gets going and the heart is pounding,'' Reynolds said. ''Being here too, with the crowd they have and the atmosphere, it makes it a lot of fun.''
Chad Gaudin (0-1) got the loss as San Francisco dropped consecutive home games after winning seven in a row at its waterfront ballpark.
Diamondbacks ace Ian Kennedy and Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner were locked up in a scoreless pitchers' duel before Gregor Blanco singled and scored on Crawford's hit in the seventh.
''It's been crazy all these extra-inning games,'' Arizona outfielder Cody Ross said. ''Tough games as well. But it feels good to win two out of three from these guys.''
Kennedy was charged with a run and four hits in six-plus innings. He struck out four and walked two.
Parra added an RBI single in the ninth, but Crawford went deep in the bottom half.
''This whole series was this way,'' Gibson said. ''True to form, we won another one in extra innings. It gets frustrating along the way but the Giants have been doing this a long time. They're a good test for us.''
Bumgarner struck out seven in 7 1-3 innings, yielding one run and five hits. He retired 18 of 19 batters before Hinske's double.
''I thought I made a pretty decent pitch on the outside corner,'' Bumgarner said. ''He may have been looking for it because he reached across the plate and wristed it out there.''
Didi Gregorius had two hits for the Diamondbacks. Paul Goldschmidt singled in the first and has reached in all but one game. He was intentionally walked with a runner in scoring position in the eighth.
