Former Juventus midfielder Angelo Di Livio believes his former club can go all the way in the Champions League.
The 46-year-old was a member of the last Bianconeri team to win the European Cup back in 1996 and he thinks that the time has come for them to return to lift the famous trophy once again.
"I think the time is ripe to win back the cup with the big ears," Di Livio was quoted in Tuttosport. "At the beginning of the Conte era there was scepticism, but, they have done very well and are now among the favorites.
"But it was good that they avoided Barcelona in the quarter-finals, they are an almost perfect team. But, Bianconeri are also very good and they will win at least win the Serie A barring any major drop off.
Di Livio, who now works as a football commentator, then reflected on his 1996 success with the Old Lady with fondness.
"I often think back to that victory," he added. "A year later came the Intercontinental as well. [Gianluca] Vialli I remember was crying like a child and I was jumping around mad with a bandana on my head. It felt like a dream but it was all true."
