NEWARK, N.J. -- Goaltender Martin Brodeur made 33 saves and left wing Dainius Zubrus scored twice as the New Jersey Devils earned a 3-0 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Prudential Center on Saturday night.

Brodeur extended his NHL record by recording his 124th shutout. He had allowed 15 goals on 86 shots over his previous 14 games.

Brodeur's biggest save came early in the second period off the stick of Lightning right wing Martin St. Louis. The Devils were scrambling in their own zone, leaving St. Louis alone in the slot for an uncontested wrist shot. Brodeur was able to snag it with his catching glove to keep the game 0-0.

Right wing Damien Brunner also scored for the Devils.

Lightning goaltender Anders Lindback stopped 16 of 19 shots in his second start since Nov. 27.

The Lightning have lost five of their past seven games.

Brunner broke a scoreless tie with 4:23 remaining in the second period. Defenseman Eric Gelinas sprung a cutting Brunner with a long pass through the neutral zone, allowing him to cut through the Lightning defense and beat Lindback for his third goal in four games.

Zubrus added an insurance goal at 6:44 of the third period. Devils left wing Jaromir Jagr made a quick pass from behind the net and into the crease to Zubrus, who shelved his sixth goal of the season to make it 2-0.

Zubrus scored again with the help of Jagr less than three minutes later, banking a rebound off Lindback to put the game far out of reach.

NOTES: Thirty-three days after breaking his leg, Lightning C Steven Stamkos skated during the morning skate at Prudential Center. "I'm feeling good. Everything is on track. My four-week X-ray looks good," said Stamkos, who hopes to be recovered in time for the Sochi Olympics in February. ... Lightning RW Richard Panik served the second game of a two-game suspension. ... Devils C Andrei Loktionov was a healthy scratch for the second straight game. ... Devils LW Ryane Clowe, who has been out since Oct. 13 with a concussion, has been cleared to play.
