Calvin Johnson had a big day receiving, but it wasn't enough to avoid a narrow loss for the Lions against the Buccaneers, 24-21, at home.
Matthew Stafford finished 26 for 46 with 297 yards, three touchdowns and four picks. Mike Glennon ended up going 14 of 21 with 247 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Buccaneers.
Reggie Bush was a key factor for the Lions, rushing for 83 yards on 15 carries in addition to four receptions for 17 yards. Johnson was a top performer, snagging seven balls for 115 yards.
The Detroit defense held up well in the loss, holding the Buccaneers to 22 yards rushing and 247 passing. They harassed Glennon with four sacks.
Buccaneers wide receiver Tiquan Underwood could not be contained, putting up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Tim Wright was also solid with 75 receiving yards.
The Lions will play host to the Packers (5-5) next week while the Buccaneers head to Charlotte to face off with the Panthers (8-3).
