Derrick Favors posted his 10th double-double this season, scoring 18 points and registering 14 rebounds, to help the Utah Jazz edge the Los Angeles Lakers, 105-103. Utah (9-23) picked up the win after falling to Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
Favors finished 9-15, in a good performance. Other top contributors for Utah included Gordon Hayward with 24 points and 9 assists, Marvin Williams with 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Trey Burke with 14 points and 7 assists. Despite the loss, Nick Young put up 21 points off the bench for Los Angeles on 10-17 shooting, including 1-4 from behind the arc. Jordan Farmar added 16 points and 7 rebounds and Jordan Hill finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds.
Los Angeles (13-17) has now lost four consecutive games.
Coming up next, the Jazz square off with the Los Angeles Clippers, who are 20-11 on the year. The Lakers meet the Philadelphia 76ers, currently 8-20 this season.
