Derek Jeter: Ankle Surgery "Likely"

Rotowire.com
Update: Jeter will "likely" undergo surgery on his broken left ankle, ESPN New York reports.

Recommendation: After a CT scan and MRI confirmed Sunday that Jeter had fractured the ankle, Jeter will likely face a three-month recovery window if he opts for surgery, as expected. Jeter had been plagued by ankle problems since at least Labor Day, but still managed to bat a team-high .364 in the postseason before aggravating the injury in the 12th inning of Game 1 of the ALCS against the Tigers.
