COMMENTARY | So with the Denver Broncos having defeated the NFL's last undefeated team Sunday night, does that make them the de facto No. 1 team in the league?
To find out, we sampled seven of the most well-regarded power rankings on the World Wide Web to see where the 9-1 Broncos stand entering game No. 2 of their most crucial three-game stretch of the regular season.
Here's what we found:

The win over the now 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs bumped the Orange and Blue Crew up a spot on Pete Prisco's list, but that still leaves them No. 2 behind the 10-1 Seattle Seahawks. "They showed against the Chiefs they are the class of the AFC," Prisco says of the Broncos. "Now comes another chance to show it against the (New England) Patriots."

Averaging the next-level Quality Stats rankings on Cold Hard Football Facts.com, Denver climbs a peg to fifth overall, still falling behind the Seahawks, New Orleans Saints (8-2), the sizzling Carolina Panthers (7-3) and, yes, still the Chiefs.
Where the Denver Broncos stand in Week 11 NFL power rankings: ESPN
The four-letter network poll voters were impressed enough with the Broncos' win to move them back into the top spot for the first time since Week 7. They were No. 2 a week ago. Seattle is now second, followed by the Chiefs, Saints and Panthers.
Where the Denver Broncos stand in Week 11 NFL power rankings: FOX
In the estimable opinion of former NFL coach and current color analyst Brian Billick Denver retains the top spot, but the Seahawks -- winners of six straight -- remain hot on the Broncos' trail. Like the ESPN rankings, the Chiefs, Saints and Panthers round out the top five.
Where the Denver Broncos stand in Week 11 NFL power rankings: NFP
I've decided to go with the National Football Post rankings over USA Today here to include the perspective of the site's Vegas wiseguy-style power ratings. Going by those numbers -- which grade teams on a scale from 1 to 100 -- the Broncos are assigned a 90, putting them on top of the chart, .5 points ahead of the second-place Seahawks. New Orleans is another point back at 88.5 with Carolina and the San Francisco 49ers (6-4) tied for fourth with 88s.Where the Denver Broncos stand in Week 11 NFL power rankings: PFT
K.C. falls out of Pro Football Talk's top spot here, and is replaced by former No. 2 Seattle. The Broncos, meanwhile, move up a spot for the second straight week, going from 3 to 2, with the Chiefs coming in third. "Good luck wrapping Christmas presents, Denver," PFT's Michael Florio warns. "Colorado's entire supply of tape is being used on Peyton Manning's ankle."
Where the Denver Broncos stand in Week 11 NFL Power rankings: Shutdown Corner
Denver stays put on top here in the Yahoo ranks, and is followed by the Seahawks, Saints, Panthers and Chiefs, who fall from fourth to fifth. Still, blog editor Frank Schwab sees it as two-team race at this point. "Seattle and Denver are clearly the class of NFL right now, but Denver gets a very slight nod," he says.
Overall, taking an average of the seven power polls above, the Broncos own an average ranking of 1.86 -- placing them second behind the Seahawks (1.57) -- chiefly due to Denver's fifth-place ranking in the CHFF stats. While Denver sits atop four of the seven polls, Seattle is No. 1 in the other three and second in the remaining four.
The Saints are a distant third with an average rank of 3.43, while the 7-3 Patriots are sixth on every list aside from CHFF, which has them seventh.
