Peyton Manning had a big night passing, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Broncos against the Colts, 39-33, in Indianapolis.
Manning found pay dirt three times on 29 of 49 passing for 386 yards and one pick. Andrew Luck also played well for the Colts, and wound up 21 for 38 with 228 yards passing, four touchdowns (3 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions.
Knowshon Moreno ran for 40 yards on 15 attempts with a score. Eric Decker was a leading receiver, hauling in eight passes for 150 yards with a score.
The Denver defense gave up 121 yards rushing and 213 passing. They sacked Luck two times.
Colts tight end Coby Fleener was impressive, racking up 38 receiving yards and one touchdown. After Luck, he was the top performer for Indianapolis. Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey also performed well with 44 receiving yards, 30 rushing and one touchdown.
Next week, the Broncos host the Redskins (2-4) while the Colts head to Houston to face the Texans (2-5).
