DeMarcus Ware will be limited in biggest game for Cowboys in long time

It is the biggest game the Dallas Cowboys have had in quite some time and their best defensive player DeMarcus Ware will be limited.

The Cowboys are playing Sunday night at FedEx Field against the Washington Redskins with the NFC East title and a playoff berth on the line. Ware will wear a harness to protect his injured right shoulder and he is expected to have his reps limited, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.

The harness will help prevent his shoulder from popping out and he will also have a brace on his right elbow to prevent it from hyper-extending. But Ware is going to play and he’ll be asked to hunt down elusive Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.

We’re going to have to watch how many plays we give him, pick our spots and play our other players,” defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said Friday. “We’ll do the best we can. I know DeMarcus will play his heart out when he’s out there and we’ll just see how much he’s able to give us.”

Ware paces the defense with 11 ½ sacks but it has not been the dominant season he enjoyed a year ago. The Cowboys sacked Griffin three times in the first meeting on Thanksgiving Day, a victory for the Redskins at Dallas.
