Davidson senior forward De'Mon Brooks left Friday's blowout loss to Clemson in the second half with a knee injury. Brooks, who led the team in scoring last season with 13.7 points per game, was seen after the loss on crutches. It is not known how long he will be out. After losing 85-54 in the Charleston Classic semifinals, the Wildcats (1-4) will play New Mexico in the tournament's third-place game without Brooks. The 6-foot-7 forward had 12 points and four rebounds before exiting. Brooks, who is averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season, was selected as the Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year.
