Davids: I don't like watching Tottenham

Edgar Davids says he has not enjoyed watching Tottenham under Andre Villas-Boas this season.

Spurs sit seventh in the table, having scored just 15 goals in 15 Premier League matches under the former Chelsea boss, who has been criticized by various figures in the media and many of club's fans.

Davids has confessed that he expected more of his old side after a summer in which they splashed out over 100 million pounds (120m euros) on new signings.

"To be honest, I don't like watching Spurs," the former midfield ace told Absolute Radio. "Do you know what I mean? How they play, I expected more. And if you have a manager that says he wants to play attacking football ..."

Davids has been partial to the style displayed by Roberto Martinez's Everton side this season.

"I loved seeing Everton play against Arsenal last week. I was like "Woah, I hope it's not the first time for Everton that they play like this!" Because I think it's a good thing," he said. "If I see Tottenham play, I'm not that convinced. But, at the end of the day, it’s all about results. If AVB comes in fourth, then he did a great job. If he doesn't, then it’s on his account."

Davids joined Tottenham from Inter in 2005 and spent two years at White Hart Lane before leaving for Ajax.
