David Wright: (Ribs) Possibly Out For Opening Day

Rotowire.com
Update: Wright has an intercostal strain and will cease activity for three-to-five days, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Recommendation: The Mets haven't ruled Wright out for Opening Day, but according to ESPNNewYork.com, manager Terry Collins is bracing for the possibility Wright won't be ready to start the year. The 30-year-old third baseman led the WBC with 10 RBI this spring, but if Wright's forced to miss a chunk of time at the start of the year, his will likely become a cautionary tale for players contemplating joining the tournament in future years.
