In a spectacular all-around effort, David West put up 24 points and added 11 rebounds and six assists to help the Indiana Pacers beat the Atlanta Hawks, 95-88. Indiana pushes the first round to Game 7.
West finished 10-20 from the field. Indiana also got solid performances from Paul George with 24 points and eight rebounds, and Lance Stephenson with 21 points and nine rebounds. Jeff Teague had another strong performance for Atlanta despite the loss, putting up 29 points on 9-21 shooting (2-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 9-9 from the free throw line.
In an evenly played series, neither team has had a decisive advantage in a Four Factors metric. Indiana, however, holds a slight edge in three of these categories (effective field goal percentage, rebounding percentage, and turnover percentage). The Hawks had an eFG% of just 41.4%, which included 25.7% from 3-point range in this game. During the regular season, they were 3-8 when they recorded marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Pacers were 14-3 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
With the series tied 3-3 and Game 7 taking place at home, Indiana has a great opportunity to close out the first round.
