David Ortiz: (Achilles) Opening Day Not Realistic

Rotowire.com
Update: Ortiz (Achilles) does not believe that his availability on Opening Day is realistic, the Boston Globe reports.

Recommendation: Ortiz relayed the news Monday, stating that he wants to ensure there is little chance of a setback once he is able to take the field. He'll be held out for up to a week due to inflammation in both of his heels, even though an MRI performed over the weekend came back clean. No matter, his hope is to be healthy for "five and a half months," so a DL stint to begin the season is certainly a possibility.
