Stephen Curry put up 22 points and added 9 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 steals in an impressive all-around performance to lead the Golden State Warriors to a close victory over the Atlanta Hawks, 101-100. Golden State (22-13) has now won eight in a row, dating back to a 102-83 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on December 21st.
Curry finished 7-15 (1-7 from three-point range) and 7-8 from the free throw line. Golden State also got solid performances from David Lee with 23 points and 8 rebounds, and Klay Thompson with 21 points and 6 assists. Despite the loss, Pero Antic put up 16 points for Atlanta on 6-9 shooting, including 4-6 from behind the arc. He also tallied 7 rebounds. Jeff Teague chipped in 14 points and 7 assists, DeMarre Carroll finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds, and Paul Millsap put up 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Atlanta (18-15) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Boston on Tuesday.
Coming up next, the Warriors square off with the Washington Wizards, who are 14-16 on the year. The Hawks go up against the Chicago Bulls, currently 13-18 this season.
