Stephen Curry put up 15 points and registered 11 assists and 6 rebounds in an impressive all-around performance to lead the Golden State Warriors to a close victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, 105-103. Golden State (17-13) has now won three in a row.
Curry shot 5-17, including 2-6 from three-point range. Other key performers for Golden State were Klay Thompson with 23 points and 5 rebounds, David Lee with 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Harrison Barnes with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Paul had another quality performance for Los Angeles in the loss, putting up 26 points on 9-20 shooting (1-3 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 7-7 from the free throw line. He also added 11 assists. Blake Griffin chipped in 20 points and 14 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
This defeat means an end to a five-game winning streak for Los Angeles, pushing their record to 20-10 for the year.
Coming up, the Warriors take on the Phoenix Suns, who are 17-10 on the season. The Clippers go up against the Portland Trail Blazers, currently sitting at 23-5 this year. The Warriors are 0-1 versus Phoenix this season.
