Danny Green scored 24 points on 9-15 shooting, including 3-7 on 3-point attempts, in a quality performance offensively. Other key performers for San Antonio were Kawhi Leonard with 18 points and 5 rebounds, and Manu Ginobili with 11 points and 6 assists. Despite the loss, Dion Waiters put up 24 points off the bench for Cleveland on 11-18 shooting, including 2-3 from behind the arc. Spencer Hawes chipped in 20 points and 13 rebounds.
The Spurs combined an eFG% of 55.6% with 42.4% 3-point shooting. They are 19-2 this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The Cavaliers, on the other hand, are 2-12 when allowing opponents to hit those marks.
This drops Cleveland (24-38) to 0-2 against San Antonio on the year.
