Dana White Refuses to Take Responsibility for Failed UFC 151 Fight Card: Fan Reaction

Even though it seems obvious that the Ultimate Fighting Championship's president, Dana White, could have handled the UFC 151 fiasco a lot better, he refuses to take any blame for the cancelled fight card.

White insists that current light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones -- who turned down Chael Sonnen as a last minute replacement for Dan Henderson -- and his trainer Greg Jackson are to blame for the first cancelled UFC fight card in over 12 years, daring folks to point out what he did wrong.

"Every time somebody asks me if I take responsibility for canceling UFC 151 on [expletive] Twitter, it's like ' Yeah, how's it my fault?'" White said while talking to reporters at the UFC headquarters. "If somebody can even try to give me an idea of how that's my fault that 151 got canceled, I would love to hear it. Dan Henderson should have told me three weeks before that his [expletive] knee was hurt, and maybe I could have saved it. And Jon Jones should have fought [expletive] Chael Sonnen. And his [expletive] goofy trainer should have kept his face shut."

Besides the childish rant that really isn't becoming of the president of a billion dollar company, White's inability to own up to his mistakes is a little irritating.

White and a few other members of the UFC's brass are responsible for putting together fight cards. And UFC 151 was a very weak card even with Jones and Henderson as the main event. The show could have still been saved when Jones declined the offer to fight Sonnen on Sept. 1, but White decided to shut everything down and blame it on everyone else but himself.

Sure, the promotion probably won't have made any profits with Jones out of the already weak UFC 151 fight card, but the Ultimate Fighting Championship has been successful enough in the past to absorb such a loss.
