Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Dallas Cowboys' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Tony Romo, QB
Romo finished the week earning 14.18 fantasy points in a win over the Carolina Panthers. This week he faces a New York Giants defense that has allowed an average of 17.90 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Romo faces a Giants' defense that has shown improvement but he is averaging 27.80 fantasy points per game in his last three games against them. It is a good matchup overall so look for at least 20.00 fantasy points on the week.
Felix Jones, RB
With DeMarco Murray out, Jones should get the start even though he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game due to a knee injury. He earned 7.40 fantasy points against the Panthers last week and faces a Giants' defense that is giving up an average of 14.91 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Dallas has very few strong options on the ground this week so look for Romo to pass often. If Jones finds the end zone this week look for around 11.00 fantasy points.
Dez Bryant, WR
Bryant finished the week earning just 1.40 fantasy points against Carolina. This week he faces a New York defense that has allowed an average of 26.04 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Bryant was reckless last week but should show improvement against the Giants due to their limited running game. He has a strong matchup but is not the most reliable. Regardless, look for around 11.00 fantasy points provided he scores a touchdown this week.
Miles Austin, WR
Austin finished the week scoring 13.70 fantasy points against the Panthers. This week he shares the favorable matchup against the Giants with his fellow receivers. Austin should be Romo's primary target this week in what projects to be a very pass-heavy game. Look for at least 13.00 fantasy points on the week.
